Client Overview:
A great opportunity has become available for an energetic Payroll and Benefits Administrator to join the finance team in Vancouver. you will be responsible for the performance of all payroll and benefits function and assisting with various accounting duties.

Job Overview:

Process the various types of payroll transactions through ADP
Respond to requests from employees and external agencies on payroll matters
Administration of extended benefit programs
Respond to employee benefits queries and liaise with benefits carrier in resolving any questions and concerns
Generate payroll reports and audit for errors
Communication of payroll discrepancies with operations staff
Process manual cheques and reversals as required
Process forms such as Records of Employment, T4 information slips and Revenue Canada reports
Balance T4 information slips to payroll register
Develop and prepare regular payroll reports
Maintain an effective records management system
Calculation and reconciliation of all payroll related accruals
Perform RRSP reconciliations and remittances
Assist with the maintenance of management employee files
Assist with accounting duties as needed
What you bring to this role:

Strong communication skills, demonstrated in written report writing
Self-starter with the ability to learn quickly and desire to look for opportunities for improvement
Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines on multiple tasks and projects in a rapidly changing environment
Knowledge of ADP “pay at work” an asset
Strong computer abilities – Excel, Word, Outlook, accounting software
Knowledge of Sage 300 an asset
Job Requirements:

A payroll designation or working towards a designation with the CPA
2 + Years payroll experience
