Our client, a leader in its field currently has a great opportunity for a Payroll Administrator. You will be taking on the payroll responsibilities for one of the division. You will be reporting to the Payroll Manager and be responsible for multi union payroll. if you love payroll and enjoy fast paced and deadline driven and team orientated environment, this position is for you.

Job Overview:

The Payroll Administrator processes a weekly, multi-union payroll with accuracy and in a timely manner

performing various clerical and accounting tasks. This position provides support to other roles within

the payroll department as required and has a strong engagement in team environment.

Work with payroll team to process salary, hourly and union employees for a weekly payroll.
Ensure wage, benefit, deduction, garnishment, vacation, sick day processing and changes are made accurately and produce reporting for such.
Review & reconcile time sheets’ work hours and payments for completeness and accuracy.
Enter time sheet information accurately to appropriate cost centres.
Review and reconcile payroll for accuracy and completeness.
Create, maintain and update employee profiles as required.
Respond to employees for payroll and benefits questions.
Ensure G/L coding accuracy for payroll & benefits journal entries.
Reconcile source deductions and G/L entries for T4 purposes.
Other duties as assigned.
Issue ROEs.
Benefits & Deductions

Review and reconcile benefits and deductions on a weekly and monthly basis.
Remit payroll requirements: CRA remittances, WCB reporting, garnishments, RRSP contributions, benefits plan.
Compile all necessary backup and generate reporting as required.

Communicates clearly both written and verbally.
Works well with and possesses a strong commitment to team environment and maintains a positive and supportive team attitude.
Handles all payroll information with confidentiality.
Has a strong work ethic and takes pride in a job well done.


PCP or CPM designation.
Excellent computer literacy of Microsoft Office with advanced Excel.
Payroll systems: JDE, Eclipse Explorer.
Reporting: Insights, Hubble.
