Client Overview:
An international manufacturing company has a Controller position located in greater Vancouver area .
You will be responsible for streamlining processes to create reliable and timely delivery of financial information and will play an active role in the strategic planning for the business. This position will report to the General Manager and a dotted line to Corporate head office in United States.

Job Overview:

Duties and Responsibilities
• Prepare monthly financial statements and budgets.
• fiscal planning by using relevant information to produce financial forecasts, results, trends, and variances
• Gather financial reports related to income, expenditures, taxes, and inventory, and interpret and present accurate financial reports and statements to executive management in a concise and understandable format
• and work with Project Managers to generate accurate performance reports for departments and projects
• performing financial audits to ensure the organization is compliant with industry standards and regulations and to identify areas for process improvements
• Research and resolve any accounting or reconciliation issues that are discovered or reported
Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, CPA and/or MBA
• 8 years of progressive related experience in a manufacturing environment
• Inventory, divisional, and job costing experience
• Financial modelling including creating, maintaining and updating Excel spreadsheets
• Experience with ERP system
• Experience developing business plans
• tax and finance best practices, standards and government regulations
• Ability to interpret management needs and provide reports to meet those needs
• Strong analytical skills
• Professional written and verbal communication skills
