This role could work well for an individual who has or is working towards their CPA designation and interested in a variety of industries, including real estate, corporate finance, advisory and estate planning & insurance.
This is an amazing opportunity for someone with a few years of full cycle accounting experience, who wants to grow with the business .
Job Description
• Prepare monthly financial statements
• Prepare cheques and expense reports, as required monthly
• Submit all government remittances (payroll, GST, tax instalments)
• Post transactions to online cash management system
• Bank deposits and reconciliation
• Prepare month end & year end transactions
• Prepare internal financial reports monthly, or as requested
• T4s, T4As, T5s & NR4s at year end
• Reconcile intercompany transactions
• Coordinate with external accountants for all tax compliance and financial reporting
• Opportunity to develop IT support & investor relations skills
• Prepare and review business analysis reports
• Other projects and duties, as required
experience:
• Be a self starter that takes ownership of their responsibilities and has a high level of attention to detail
• Analytical, organized, with good interpersonal skills
• Two years of full cycle accounting experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with accounting software – Sage 50 and/or Quickbooks – and Excel
• Be able to work proactively, independently, and at times with minimal direction
